RFC Tilleur – RRC Waterloo 03-09-2016
Game: RFC Tilleur - RRC Waterloo 4-0 (3-0 HT)
Competition: Friendly, Belgium
Stadium: Stade de Buraufosse
I was lucky to find out that RFC Tilleur played a friendly game on a Saturday afternoon at 3 pm against RRC Waterloo. Both teams are playing in the 5th division (3th amateur division) but in a different league.
The hosts started the game much better and hit the bar after only 1 minute. RFC Tilleur outclassed RRC Waterloo the remaining 44 minutes and scored 3 goals, 3-0 at the break.
The second half, the home team kept on playing but missed a lot of big chances. They only scored 1 more goal, 4-0.
The Stade de Buraufosse is a beautiful ground which can hold about 11.000 fans. The stadium is built in 1960 for the local team in the 1st division, RFC Tilleur. After a lot of different merges, nowadays the ground is used by RFC Tilleur in the 5th division.
In the 60's the their was some kind "tradition" with fans from Standard de Liege going to RFC Tilleur after their game was finished at 17.45 to watch RFC Tilleur at 18.00.
It's truely a beautiful ground which you really should visit when you have the chance to.
