After last week's loss against Sporting Hasselt, KVK Tienen was off to KVV Vosselaar for another away game, the first of the second round. In the first round KVK Tienen didn't have a chance against Vosselaar, who won 0-3. KVV Vosselaar was founded in 1928 and plays their games at the Konijnenbergstadion. The club has played most of their history in the provincial leagues, including even 10 seasons between 1980 and 2000 at the 3th provincial level. In 2006 the club started promoting from the 3th provincial league to the national leagues, which took them just 5 years (2011). Before, the club already had a few spells in the national leagues, from 1952 until 1961 and from 1982 until 1984. Last season the club ended in 5th position at the 5th tier but gained promotion after play-offs.

In today's game against KVK Tienen, Vosselaar got in front after just 10 minutes after the visiting goalkeeper misjudged a free-kick; 1-0. Tienen got 2 big chances before the break but failed to score twice. After the break Vosselaar had the chance to double their lead but this time the keeper managed to make a few good saves. His colleague on the other side did the same after he kept a good header out. Both teams failed to find the way to the goal in the second half, which resulted in a 1-0 final score.

Last game of 2017 for KVK Tienen, which was year with a lot of ups and downs. We managed to stay safe from relegation after an unnecessary play-off game in Bornem and started the new season with 15/18 and a game for the 1st place in Spouwen-Mopertingen. Unfortunately, after 16 games, we only have 16 points and we're straight from the top, back into the relegation positions. Let's hope 2018 will bring us some extra points.
