A beautiful club name, a beautiful old school bar and a great ground with a street between the bar and the pitch; Jungle Boys Eigenbilzen. The club was founded in 1968 as Eigenbilzen VV stopped their activities in 1963. The club started in 1968 at the 3th provincial league and managed to reach the 2nd provincial league for the first time in 1980 for only 1 season. In 1984 the Jungle Boys were back at the lowest 4th provincial level but they quickly got back to the 2nd provincial level, for 5 consecutive seasons. The club has been moving mostly between the 3th provincial league and the 4th provincial league between 1990 and 2017 and is currently active at the 3th level. Jelle Vossen (former KRC Genk, Middlesbrough, Burnley and currently Club Brugge) must be their most famous former youth player, as he started his career at this club when he was 5 years old. The striker played for 3 years in Eigenbilzen, from 1994 until 1997.
Today's friendly against Boorsem Sport started very well with 3 goals in the opening 15 minutes. The visitors turned around an early 1-0 to a 1-2 advantage, which was also the score at the break. Eigenbilzen equalised after the break but Boorsem still scored 2 more goals, making the game end at 2-4.
