ERC Hoeilaart was founded in 2002 when Eendracht Hoeilaart and Racing Club Hoeilaart merged. Eendracht Hoeilaart was founded in 1941 as Zwarte Duivels SV Hoeilaart but changed it's name to E. Hoeilaart in 1945. The club played for several years at the highest provincial tier and reached the national level for just 1 season (1968/69). Racing Hoeilaart never reached the national level but also played at the highest provincial tier (1953-1955). In 2002 both clubs merged and started the season at the 2nd provincial tier, from which they relegated 2 seasons later. ERC Hoeilaar gained promotion again after 9 seasons to the 2nd tier and last season they even got promoted to the 3rd amateur division (5th tier).
REC Hoeilaart absolutely need the points today and they started the game against Bilzerse Waltwilder VV very well. A free kick was touched by the wall and the home team got a very doubtful penalty; 1-0. Just before the break Bilzen managed to make it 1-1 as the keeper couldn't handle a shot from distance with Godard only having to tap in the ball; 1-1. Hoeilaart got a very good chance after the break but during the last 30 minutes, Bilzerse Waltwilder got chance after chance. When their striker was through on goal he got fouled by a Hoeilaart defender, reducing them to 10. The following free kick was beautifully scored by Ubachs to make it even worse for the home team; 1-2. In the last minutes of the game Hoeilaart got another red card, leaving them with 9 players to end the game.
